Eight bedrooms in four tiers, in a building that has been an inn since 1672. Prices are room-only. Breakfast is downstairs from 8 to 10. Dinner is downstairs from 6:30. The bar is downstairs whenever you are.

A separate sitting room with a fireplace, a four-poster, and a window that looks out on the kitchen garden. Anniversaries and quiet weekends, mostly.

Top of the building, under the original beams. Twin skylights pull the morning in. Claw-foot bath, the largest bed in the inn, and a quiet you cannot buy in a city.
